The concept is fairly simple: Take ten months to write a 100,000-word novel. At an average of 10,000 words a month, it works out to about 333 words a day. If you go for 500 words a day, you get 2 days off each week, and can still meet that goal with room to spare.
Nope. You can bring anything into this project. The idea is to write, and to do so every day.
Nope. Non-fiction, poetry... whatever you like. But keep in mind that most folks here will be writing fiction, so they may not be able to help you if you get stuck.
Go at your own pace. We are asking for 10K per month, but if you start in April, we certainly don't expect you to try to catch up with everyone else! And if you start in October, well, I certainly wouldn't be able to do 100K in a month!
There are many ways: write inspirational articles, become a forum moderator, contribute links and resources. We even have an affiliate program with Amazon; when you buy books through our link on the Resources page, we get a small percentage of that purchase, which goes back into the site. You can also spread the word about us to all your writing friends. As our community grows, we become better writers for all the sharing of information and resources.
